Artblogging - Birth of the Bride II
How about some more paintblogging for this painting.
Got to get the pencils laid out on the canvas.
I like to do the sky and the deep bits first. Its easier to smear on the sky when you can overlap onto areas that haven't been touched yet. I like how the moon and the mountains turned out.
Walls are next.
Starting to fill in the characters and the props. I like how their smocks turned out.
That's all folks. I'll post more when I get more done.

Dr Scarabus
I've been away for a while. Here is a recent painting that turned out pretty good. Boris Karloff as Dr Scarabus from "The Raven."
I was really happy with how this turned out. I was hoping it would lead to a run of good paintings but I've had some flubs since this one was completed. Oh Well.

Monster Duo
Did a few monster portraits recently. The Wolfman and the Creature From the Black Lagoon. Both are 12 x 16 acrylic on canvas.
I wish I hadn't done the Gillman's lips in red. I like how it looks on old posters I've seen, but it just doesn't work here.

The Third Doctor
Jon Pertwee, the third Doctor. I think he has the most interesting face of the bunch of them.
Acrylic on canvas board, 12 x 16.
